It's interesting how little mention '87 is getting in the posts above (below?)
The year amounts to (in my mind at least) a Jerry comeback tour; there seems to be a spirit and energy in his playing that is clearly saying 'it's good to be back from that coma thing.'
There was the Dylan collaboration in the summer, the Broadway JGB run in October. It all sounds like he was really out there and loving it all.

This show is crisp and energetic and a good example of what I'm trying to talk about. I love the entire first set and the second up till drums:
